The beloved St. Hubertus Stag has been created in two elegant bronze sculptures for the purchase of the ordensbrothers. The works were commissioned by Robert L. Puette, the Grand Prior of the United States, and have been sculpted by ordensbrother and wildlife sculptor Christopher Smith. Both magnificent representations are from very limited editions of 48, and mounted on custom pieces of two inch thick black walnut. The Standing St. Hubertus Stag has dimensions of 21.5 H X 12 W X 10 D. When one looks closely, he can see that the graceful monarch has spooked a hare on his way to the top of an escarpment. The Laying St. Hubertus Stag has dimensions of 14.5 H X 16 W X 9 D. As this stag lays warming in the sun, he represents the peace and tranquility that can be found in nature. Both of these sculptures remind one of the St. Hubertus motto “Deum Diligite Animalia Diligentes “. These pieces can be purchased on the St. Hubertus website or directly from Christopher. A portion of all proceeds go directly back into the organization.
